Wall Tie Quantity & Spacing Guide

Qwik-Fix Wall Ties and Restraint Fixings are specified and installed in the same way as traditional stainless steel ties. Here is a basic guide to help you quantify your requirements:

Qwik-Fix composite polymer masonry restraints dramatically improve the thermal efficiency, U-values and K-Values of brick and rendered block cavity rain screen veneer walls. They achieve this by eliminating the thermal bridge created by stainless steel masonry ties. This improves a building's energy rating. Qwik-Fix plastic wall ties are corrosion resistant, non magnetic, thermally and electrically non conductive and are lighter than stainless steel. The improved tensile strength of Qwik-Fix composite polymer masonry wall ties versus their steel equivalent means that a wall's strength and durability is improved, and in some cases, fewer ties can be used.
