Qwik Fix has developed a range of GFRP wall ties, providing a thermal bridge-busting alternative to using heavy gauge stainless steel ties in wide cavity walls. 

The main advantage associated with using glass fibre ties, instead of stainless steel versions, is the inherent thermal efficiency of the material.

Using GFRP wall ties is an effective and cost efficient method of improving your walls' u-value and your overall Building Energy Rating. Our ties are particularly suited for use with full fill insulating bead, but can be used with any type of insulation.

Qwik-Fix composite polymer masonry restraints dramatically improve the thermal efficiency, U-values and K-Values of brick and rendered block cavity rain screen veneer walls. They achieve this by eliminating the thermal bridge created by stainless steel masonry ties. This improves a building's energy rating. Qwik-Fix plastic wall ties are corrosion resistant, non magnetic, thermally and electrically non conductive and are lighter than stainless steel. The improved tensile strength of Qwik-Fix composite polymer masonry wall ties versus their steel equivalent means that a wall's strength and durability is improved, and in some cases, fewer ties can be used.
